Western Tech Develops Partnership with Palo Alto Networks for ISS Program!

Palo Alto Networks created the Cybersecurity Academy to equip students with the next-generation cybersecurity knowledge and skills they’ll need to success in today’s rapidly changing cyberthreat landscape. To prepare students for successful careers in cybersecurity by providing a foundation in our security products to close the growing cybersecurity skills gap.
We are excited to announce that Western Technical College is creating this partnership with Palo Alto Networks, to bring the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy as part of the Information Systems and Security program. ISS students will be taking the Cybersecurity Foundation, Cybersecurity Gateway, and Cybersecurity Essentials training in order to achieve the PCCSA Certification.
Gabriela Rzycki, Director of the ISS program, states “WTC is addressing the cybersecurity skills gap bringing the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy as part of the ISS Program. Students will learn cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, cloud security and how a security operations center (SOC) works via the hands-on curriculum. They will get prepared for the PCCSA certification, plus they will receive discounts for other certifications from Palo Alto Networks. Getting this certification, the students increase their credibility, gain competitive advantage and obtain salary increases.”
