Covid-19 Update 10-20-2020
October 20, 2020
Greetings Everyone,
As you are all aware El Paso is experiencing another spike of COVID-19 cases in the El Paso region. We have been monitoring the situation closely, and based on the continuous increase of cases, we have decided to minimize and/or eliminate the exposure of our students and employees, therefore we have the following announcements:
Eastside Campus Students:
All program offerings will take place online beginning Wednesday, October 21, 2020 thru Friday, October 30, 2020. Commercial Driver Training students may continue with their program on the driving range with the authorization of the Program Director and Lead Instructor.
Northeast Campus Students:
Students enrolled in the Nursing program and the Physical Therapist Assistant program will be required to continue attending labs. Program Directors will provide information to students in each of these programs. For all other programs, students will be required to work online from home, beginning Wednesday, October 21, 2020 thru Friday, October 30, 2020.
Staff and Campus Availability:
WTC staff will be available by phone or email as well from 8:00 a.m. thru 8:00 p.m. The intent is for school to resume back on Monday, November 02, 2020, barring any further spikes or instructions from our city, county government.
Stipend and HEERF Checks:
Please be advised that all stipend checks and/or HEERF checks that have not been picked will be available tomorrow and Thursday AT THE PLAZA CAMPUS ONLY (9624 PLAZA CIRCLE) from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. If not picked up by the end of business Thursday, they will be mailed to the address we have on file.
Note: If you have already picked up your HEERF check within the last few weeks, then this message does not pertain to you. If you have not been notified by the business office that you have a stipend check at the front desk, this message does not pertain to you. This is for both campuses.
Students, should you have any questions, or you need further assistance, reach out to your Instructor or Program Director by phone or email.
Thank you and please Be safe, stay safe!
Sincerely,
Mary Cano
