Western Tech Student Receives a $40,000 Scholarship for the John Deere AG Tech Program!

Justin Urquidi, a diesel student from Western Tech, was recently offered an amazing opportunity!

In February, Western Tech held the annual Career Fair which brought out a record-breaking number of businesses. Justin used this to his advantage and networked with many. American Implement-John Deere Dealership gained his interest the most! He began communications with American Implements Recruiting Manger to express his interest in the company and their educational opportunities. His persistence and professionalism truly paid off.

Justin was hired to work in their Johnson City, Kansas store beginning in August. He has also been offered a $40,000 scholarship to attend the John Deere AG Tech Program for two years in Milford, Nebraska. He will embark on this new journey in January of 2021.

This young man is the FIRST student from Western Tech and the FIRST individual from El Paso to be afforded this opportunity.
